Matt’s Story

When North Star owner, Matt Coyle, was nine his family lost their home to a devastating house fire the day before Thanksgiving. His father, a general contractor, immediately began the challenging task of rebuilding from the ground up. After school, Matt would jump off the bus and head straight to the construction site to lend a hand. 

The experience of helping restore his family’s home sparked a deep passion for restoration work. Today, Matt is especially dedicated to helping others rebuild their homes after a fire or significant water damage. He knows firsthand the power of turning a loss into something better than it was before.

It was a true blessing for us. Matt is the best contractor we have ever worked with. Reconstructing our fire-damaged 1976 house presented many challenges. It was not simply a matter of restoring the fire damaged parts of the house, but also managing asbestos removal, bringing the entire house up to today’s building code and improving the interior design. Matt’s ability to manage his crew and to work with outside suppliers, with government inspectors and our insurance company adjustor was exceptional.”
